This group is about getting gamers to come together and enjoy each others company in a fun environment. I would like to gauge the interest in having gaming meetup events, and see what people are interested in playing. This could include everything from MMORPGs to sports gaming tournaments. I would also like to use this group as a segue to eventually having our own place that would be a really great hang out for like minded gamers.

I created this group because I wanted to share the excitement of some of the greatest game titles on all current gen consoles today with new people, and I wanted to share the enjoyment with others. Hello, I created this meetup to get together groups of people to watch anime series and movies while playing great board games. People can also bring their Xboxes, Wii's, and other consoles to play as well. There will be movie nights to go out and see new releases of Miyazaki film or any other Anime movies, (or any movie that fits our fancy) and just have a good time to meet new people that enjoy the same interests. The Proving Grounds event was created for the sole reason of competition between gamers in different circles who want their abilities tested on a larger scale. It's a mosh pit of raw talent and carnage that rewards its champions with an increase in reputation and of course rewards for being the best. Exhibition matches, random meets, and Tournament entry's is the usual for the group but we our main goal is to open a lounge in Northern Virginia so the DC/VA/MD gamers have a place to call home :P
